IU Dining—in collaboration with the IU Food Institute, Campus Kitchen, Crimson Cupboard, the Food Working Group, and other campus groups—is re-implementing the Emergency Meal Project over the winter break 2022-23.
The EMP will offer a once-per-day meal December 19-January 6, 2023 (except for weekends and holidays 12/29, 1/3) for those in the IU community, no questions asked, first-come, first served. IU Dining chefs will prepare and package your meal, served ready to eat. Each day, those needing food assistance will sign up online, and pick up their ordered meal.
The meals will be available for 13 days over break:
December 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 27, 28, 29, 30 and
January 3, 4, 5, 6.
If you are in need of a meal:
1) Click the button below to enter your meal request by 7:00am on the day you can pick up your food. Monday through Friday only.
2) Pick up your meal between 12- 2pm at Goodbody Dining Hall.
3) If you have questions, please email rpsdine@indiana.edu or call 812.856.7887.
Donations fund the Emergency Meal Project initiative, which relies on work from the IU Dining staff. We will fulfill requests to the best of our abilities. Therefore, we ask for your patience as we work to gauge the level of demand. Thank you.
In addition to the Emergency Meals Project, food is available from the Crimson Cupboard on the IU Bloomington campus, and you can locate emergency food throughout Indiana using the Community Compass website and app.
